Although all people wanting to be a judge needs to have a trial/learning time, maybe for the first 5 times in the ring, there should be an AKC representative with the breed standard open to the breed page.
Before the provisional can choose, they need to discuss their choices and why with the rep. It may take a little longer to complete their assignments, but there would be less ridiculous choices and they would be forced to justify their choices against the standard. |
